A unique selling proposition (USP) is a tool used by salespeople to communicate the key factors that separate their product from the competition. An effective USP communicates the brand’s values and differentiates what the company offers through, what one stands for and how this benefits the customers. For example, selling low-fat ice cream that tastes just as good as regular ice cream, a USP can be “Stay slim eating great ice cream”.
