Gender Based Violence
Any form of violence against women and children is condemned by the government. We
must collaborate with police, prosecutors, and courts to ensure that those who cause harm and
abuse are apprehended and convicted. All cases of rape, sexual assault, or other forms of
violence should be reported to a local police station or the toll-free Crime Stoppers number.
Gender-based violence (GBV) is without prejudice. GBV can affect anyone, regardless of race,
age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender. People may be victims of abuse if they appear fearful
of their partner; spend less time with family and friends; are frequently criticized or belittled by
their partner; or if their partner is jealous.
