Describe the various techniques (elaborate techniques in detail ) to measure the advertising effectiveness, especially penetration test and progress test ?
1.Pre test and post test. Pretest evaluates the advertising message before it is sent to a media. Post test evaluates the effect of advertising media, after its publication by a media.
2. Communication and Sales effect test/progress test. Sales-effect test shows advertising effect on sales volume wheras communication test evaluates the ability to communicate the message.
3. Message and media effect test. Media test measures suitability of the media while message test shows contents, believability, action ability and clarity of the message
4.Penetration test. It measures the readership of the advertisements in journals and newspaper.
