Summarize the intention of the author in writing the text college and the challenge of credit card debts
Self-esteem, power-prestige, and risk-taking are three variables that haven't been studied combined before in relation to college
students' credit card misuse and compulsive shopping behavior. Furthermore, the study claims
that credit card misuse mediates the link between these characteristics and compulsive buying
behavior.
The overall structural model is well-fitting, and significant direct and indirect effects for
power-prestige, but not for self-esteem and risk-taking, are discovered using structural equation modeling. These findings have managerial
implications, which are identified.
