Q=LmQ=LmQ=Lm
Q is the amount of heat needed to melt the ice
L is the latent heat of melt for ice, that is
m is the mass of ice that is to melt
m=100g=0.1kgm=100g=0.1kgm=100g=0.1kg
Q=3.34.105×0.1=33.4kJQ=3.34.10^{5}\times0.1= 33.4kJQ=3.34.105×0.1=33.4kJ
We know that Power=EPPower=\frac {E}{P}Power=PE
Thereforet=Ep=33.4kJ50t=\frac{E}{p}= \frac{33.4kJ}{50}t=pE=5033.4kJ
t=668secondst=668 secondst=668seconds

Dear brooke, thank you for comment
hello, can you please explain how you have 0.67 seconds? energy is measured in J and not KJ so instead of 33.4 over 50 giving you 0.668 would it not be 33400J over 50 W giving you the result of 668 seconds?
