Maxwell equtions are famous in Electrodynamics as well as in thermodynamics.Irony is that in both branch there are four set of equations.

Here I am going to write Maxwell first equation in thermodynamics.

"\\Bigg(\\frac{dT}{dV}\\Bigg)_{S}=-\\Bigg(\\frac{dP}{dS}\\Bigg)_{V}"

This equation of Maxwell is called first equation of thermodynamics and It is derived from internal energy (U) that is only function of temperature. Here P , V , T and S are pressure, volume, temperature and entropy respectively.
