When the the water is getting heat inside the pot, then the water particle which is at the bottom absorb the heat energy, and it starts to rise and another particle substitute that position and when it get energized and leave that position and another particle substitute that position, this is the process of the heating of water, this process of heating of water is called the convection process. Because here heat is getting transfer by the movement of the water atom.

Reason to lost energy in water heater-

  1. Some of the energy is getting absorb by the pot in which it is placed.
  2. Some energy goes to environment.
  3. Some part of the energy lost in the vibration of water molecule.
