In the co-axial cylindrical viscometer have the end effect issue.

End Effect-

As per the the end effect, the resistance is being offered by the test sample at the top and the base of the inner cylinder.

Reduce end effect-

The end effect at the top can be reduced by ensuring the weighted height can not be higher than the inner cylinder.
