Let the speed of athlete B is vv, then speed of of athlete A is 1.5v1.5v. We get

l=vAt+vBt=2.5vtl=v_At+v_Bt=2.5vt

Hence,

v=l/2.5t=400m/(2.550s)=3.2m/sv=l/2.5t=400\:\rm m/(2.5*50\: s)=3.2\: m/s

Finally

vB=3.2m/svA=1.53.2m/s=4.8 m/sv_B=3.2\: {\rm m/s}\\ v_A=1.5*3.2\: \rm m/s=4.8\:\ m/s
