Taking into account that the smallest period of the function tan(x)\tan(x) is π,\pi, we conclude that the smallest period of the function f(x)=tan(2x)f(x) = \tan(2x) is π2.\frac{\pi}2. Since π=2π2,\pi=2\cdot\frac{\pi}2, we conclude that π\pi is also a period of f,f, but it is not the smallest period.
