A standardized product is a product that regardless of what company furnishes the good, consumers regard the product furnished by all the companies as identical. Normally, standardized products are perfect substitutes. Products marketed and sold internationally may be standardized to keep uniform image among the varying markets, irrespective of the culture and sub culture of the customers. An example here is the Coca-Cola Company which uses global standardization in marketing by keeping the appearance of the product relatively unchanged between different markets. On top of these standardization meets the expectations of quality, it makes it easy for consumers to understand the product and it is cost effective to produce
