They are facing a lot of resistance to the changes being implemented and want to

understand the reasons for this resistance.

Changes are mostly resisted especially if people don’t understand the reason for the change. Some of the reasons for resistance include lack of consultation while making the change. This will be from both employees and customers since the results from the change will be different. For example, employees may fear a decrease in their salaries while customers may think that the quality of the products will change. Also, there may be a misunderstanding on the process of change thus not knowing the purpose for the change. Previous experiences from change especially if they failed will discourage the need for change. Lastly, the changes being implemented may have a weakness, and if identified during the process of change they will be discouraged.
