Starbuck environment would be classified as calm waters. The reason for that classification is because it is a metaphor which suggests that change is an occasional disruption to the normal flow of events ,which can be planned and managed.

Change is managed within the environment using lewin three steps. The steps include unfreezing which targets current processes and behaviors. Another step is changing that is essential in working on things that are to be done and seen differently. Lastly,there is freezing that are works on incorporating the new practices and behaviors into everyday actions.
