Which do you think is more important for a manager: speaking accurately or listening actively? Why?
Listening actively is crucial because the employees are the front lines are the ears and eyes of the manager. They are the ones dealing directly with the problems and often have much more knowledge in their area of expertise. Thus, the manager must be able to listen attentively in order to receive all the relevant information about the situation to enable giving the right guidance in order to lead their employees to make the best decisions.Also, listening attentively show empathy toward the person being listened to and, therefore, is one of the best ways to create a strong mutual feeling of trust and belonging.
