a) Examine some of the key factors that can account for effective project monitoring and controlling on any project of your choice.

IT project

  1. Create a framework for monitoring. Many companies use an IT domain-specific approach to monitoring, resulting in high costs, a broad tool portfolio, and minimal tool integration. In terms of features, many of these tools are similar, but they are all used for the same reason.
  2. Create and integrate a process for event management. The primary objective of event management is to allow proactive management and response by signaling anticipated or unexpected application or infrastructure status.
  3. Organize the governance structure. A well-managed governance framework defines the organization's vision and policy, accelerates strategy alignment, implementation, and assimilation, and balances the maturation and development of monitoring skills in compliance with business goals and constraints.

b) What major things would you consider before describing an endeavour as a project?

According to the "textbook" concept, the project must have three characteristics: "special," "temporary," and "progressive."

What matters most, I believe, is to consider the project's goals and to enlist the help of the right people to do the right thing in the right way. It is quite pointless if we get all of the meanings correct but fail to deliver.

c) Describe some of the major components of project requirements to any project of your choice

A project is a short-term undertaking performed to produce a one-of-a-kind good, service, or outcome.

According to the "textbook" concept, the project must have three characteristics: "unique," "temporary," and "progressive."

Temporary: The project has a clear start and finish date. The length of a project can range from a single day to several years, but at the end of the day, all projects must either fulfill their goals or be terminated. Please keep in mind that, although the projects themselves are temporary, the goods or services they produce can last much longer.

Unique product, service, or outcome: Each project produces something that has never been done before. A product or service may be one-of-a-kind in the category to which it belongs (e.g., a project to create a building has a unique design, location, resources, etc.).
