There are two types of constitution;
codified/written and uncodified/unwritten. Codified constitution is one in which key constitutional provisions are provided for within a single written document for example the Kenyan constitution.
Uncodified constitution is a type of constitution where the fundamental rules are often taken from the form of customs, usage, precedent and a variety of statute. It is usually provided within multiple documents for example the British constitution.
