They thought of tying their hair back but they didn't want to look like girls. the savages didn't think of this social standard, so they tied their hair back.

He first throws a rock at Samneric but aims to miss. He then throws some rocks at Piggy and Ralph. He purposely places the rock so that it falls and kills Piggy, and at the end of the chapter, he throws a spear at Ralph.
