Being able to facilitate scaffolding in your learners is one of the very important skills to master as a teacher.
Show using the theories of Piaget, Vygotsky and Bruner, how you could help your learners through scaffolding
Scaffolding in the learning process helps students to become self-regulated, independent and develop problem-solving skills. Vygotsky’s theory affirmed that scaffolding is a learning tool focused on growth; according to him, learners can be given small tasks to complete using manageable instructions to reach a particular goal. Bruner’s scaffolding theory outlines that students need active support from teachers and parents to become independent; therefore, I will use this concept to help students interact actively with parents and me through teacher/parent assisted tasks such as reading and arts. Piaget’s theory can be helpful to shape classroom curriculum, and activities create a student-oriented environment where students can learn through experience.
