The main principles of the communicative approach are as follows: 1) the goal of effective communication, 2) learning language by communicating with it, 3) a focus on meaning and appropriate usage, 4) a focus on fluency and accuracy, 5) the use of authentic materials to reflect real-life situations, and 6) the integration of four skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening). It may be concluded that the Communicative Approach is one of the most essential techniques for assisting learners to make contact with people in order to communicate fluently, confidently express themselves, and discuss numerous social concerns in their surroundings as quickly as possible. Classroom activities led by the communicative approach are distinguished by an emphasis on producing meaningful and authentic communication at all levels. As a consequence, there may be a greater emphasis on skills rather than systems, courses may be more learner-centered, and genuine materials may be used.
