Infrastructure and essential services are directly related to development of different places. These are the strategies that different governments use to counter poverty and offer access to basic needs to local citizens. A good infrastructure is an economic catalyst towards development since it allows for efficiency in the manner in which basic activities such as transportation and production are carried out. In South Africa, the poor distribution of infrastructure and services by the government to marginalized communities denies them the basic form of improving their lives since they end up struggling to make ends meet and it increases their costs of living. They do not have networking opportunities hence they hardly advance in life making their condition to worsen due to insufficient development.
