Several elements are assessed in the teaching of Grade R at classroom level. Some of the aspects include
the criterion used, where we evaluate the whether students portray adequate performance in different subjects
Longitudinal and comparative cross time - used to see whether learners can successfully be demonstrated using growth in the taught subjects.
Comparative across groups is also used as a key approach to evaluate the progress of student in their classes
