A local businessperson placed an advert in the local newspaper for a competition for girls only from different schools to participate in the competition. The competition is about drawing ideas of a shopping complex for the local community. Girls from the different schools are excited about the competition.you are a group of boys in the local schools who saw the advert and feel it is unfair for you to be excluded in the competition.

1.1 consider yourself as one of the learner's in the local schools.
Explain why the project should be given to boys also who have better skills for this project than the girls do.
1.2 think about the design process skills, investigates, design, make, evaluate and communicate.
Explain how you will use the design process to meet the requirements of the competition.

[1.1] The project should also be given to boys because there are boys out there who are more talented on drawing ideas of shopping complex for the local community more than how girls do it. Boys can also bring a clear picture of how local community can increase their shopping complex for example by encouraging the local business people to have something seasonal because this will be of advantage to their business and also include the idea of encouraging your shoppers to bring a friend in their competition something which will be highly recommendable.

[1.2] In order to meet the requirements of the competition I would ensure that investigate on how shopping complex for the local community works for example by ensuring am aware of the ways one can use to improve his or her business in the local community.

In the case of communication skills during the competition I would ensure that am audible enough and also am confident with what am saying in order to win the competition.

Lastly I would ensure that I meet the requirements of the competition by only addressing what the advert was all about and avoid going out of the topic.
