discuss in your own words what a forensic investigation must concentrate on in an investigation into an employee's misconduct
A forensic investigation into an employee's misconduct must concentrate on: finding substantial factual evidence, either documentary evidence or through witnesses or both, that violation of a conduct took place, proving the importance of the rule(s) that was contravened, the harm that was caused by the employee's gross conduct, proof that the trust relationship was broken and whether grounds for the misconduct warrant dismissal. The evidentiary material obtained during forensic investigation is vital because it will be applicable during subsequent disciplinary proceedings.
