2.3 provide an example of a reading activity where you can apply Transactionalism in the classroom to.....
2.3.1 enforce the readers athourity.
2.3.2 encourage learners to ask questions.
2.3.1 Use of the transactional theory to enable readers to make predictions visualize the meaning. Students make predictions from what they learn, that is, the text, from pictures they have associated with, and also from the title of the text. A teacher should ensure they know the reason for different predictions from different students, and also evaluate them.
2.3.2 This can be done by grouping students into pairs then asking them to discuss what they have learnt from a text, or even generate questions from the text. The teacher should also guide them and especially encourage use of open-ended questions that allow different interpretations of text. This contributes to asking of more questions by the students.
