My Fellow Citizens.

On Friday March 13th, 2020 the Government received a report from the Ministry of Health confirming that we are still under the the threat of covid-19.

As you may recall, when we first announced the lock-down we said that it will only be uplifted when the cases of covid-19 have reduced. We have since tested the 2700 people at our National Influenza Center and the the rate of infection is confirmed to be at the peak.

Fellow citizens,

as a way of dealing with the virus, we have set up necessary containment and treatment protocols across the country. However, following the result of the additional cases, we are now directing the following additional protocols:

1. the lock-down in and out of the country is still on
2. The Government is suspending travel for all persons coming into country from any country with reported Coronavirus cases.
3. We have suspended learning in all our education institutions with immediate effect. Consequently, and to facilitate a phased approach, primary and secondary day schools are to suspend operations from tomorrow.
4. Where possible, government offices, businesses and companies are encouraged to allow employees to work from home, with the exception of employees working in critical or essential services.
