Writing articles is quite important in a person's life. Specifically, school-aged children. These are the individuals who are expected to read more books, not only for exam purposes, but also for their personal life outside of the classroom. It is a virtue for writers or rather authors to adopt some stylistic strategies that will fulfill this job in order to elicit the learners' imaginations. The following are some of the stylistic elements that authors employ to help learners think more clearly:

i. Overstatement and understatement - This is a technique in which the writer makes something small appear very small while simultaneously making something large appear very large. E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web" is an example of a children's novel in which various stylistic devices have been used.

ii. Personification — This is a technique in which non-living objects or creatures are given human-like characteristics. Lois Lowry's "The Giver" is an example of a story book that uses this style.
