David Brooks describes some factors that lead to individual happiness. These factors include; socialization, how one spends money, and experiences. I agree with David Brooks that these factors bring happiness. There is a great relationship between money and happiness. When money is spent properly, even if it is not much and if spent in a way that satisfies a person’s desires, it makes them attain happiness. Money also improves one’s emotions and moods by allowing one to worry less about their basic needs, thus they enjoy life, which creates happiness. Socializing eliminates boredom and gives people a sense of belonging, thus they can attain happiness. In a marriage situation, couples who love and respect each other have a happy marriage. Also, memorable and interesting relationships play a major role in achieving happiness. For example, engaging in fun activities such as watching movies and playing part in sporting activities, e.g , swimming.
