According to Amber & Skoggard (2014), a nation is a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory. Additionally, a nation is shaped by 4 characteristics; population, government, sovereignty and territorial boundaries. Ghana with a population of 30 million, a sovereign democratic government and territorial boundaries, fits the criteria of being called a nation.
