  • Defining a problem- research problem is a statement about an area of concern, a condition to be improved, a difficulty to be eliminated, or a troubling question that exists in scholarly literature, in theory, or in practice that points to the need for meaningful understanding and deliberate investigation.
  • Setting the objectives- Objectives set out what a business is trying to achieve. They should be based on organizational strategy and be aligned with corporate vision, mission and values.
  • Target group- A target group refers to a group of customers to whom a company wants to sell its products and services, and to whom it directs its marketing efforts. Consumers who make up a target group share similar characteristics including geography, buying power, demographics, and incomes.
  • Developing the message- Identify your messaging needs, whether ongoing or a one-off situation. Confirm your target group, or stakeholders. Check that a broad approach suits. Prepare key messages that are wide in scope and describe the point of view of your organization, product, service, or program.
  • Activities- Research include activities that companies undertake to innovate and introduce new products and services. It is often the first stage in the development process. The goal is typically to take new products and services to market and add to the company's bottom line.
  • Research- The budget is a representation of the expenses associated with the proposal project. The Budget Justification contains more in depth detail of the costs behind the line items, and sometimes explains the use of the funds where not evident.
  • Review- A literature review is a comprehensive summary of previous research on a topic. The review should enumerate, describe, summarize, objectively evaluate and clarify this previous research. It should give a theoretical base for the research and help you (the author) determine the nature of your research.
  • Evaluation- Evaluation research is defined as a form of disciplined and systematic inquiry that is carried out to arrive at an assessment or appraisal of an object, program, practice, activity, or system with the purpose of providing information that will be of use in decision making.
