Question 2
Discuss in detail, the characteristics that can be linked to effective project teams. Include references in your answer
Characteristics of Effective Teams
Every successful organization is built based on effective teams. These teams have several essential characteristics that contribute to their effectiveness and high performance. These characteristics include defined purpose, openness, role clarity, job responsibilities, dignified disagreements, shared leadership, and self-assessment (Raches et al., 2019). Team members presume collective and individual responsibility. In addition, the work environment is "relaxed" yet still professional. Venues and settings encourage a lot of conversation. Both the corporate and individual goals are fully known, and all tasks are communicated clearly and voluntarily accepted. Everyone in the team is inclined to listen to each other. The majority of decisions are reached by consensus. Constructive disagreements are always welcome (Schaubroeck, 2017). Criticism is calming and non-aggressive. Individual brilliance is accomplished within a framework of teamwork, and internal leadership is permitted to vary from time to time.
