Strategies Implemented For the Control Second Wave
Screening, containment (or suppression), and mitigation are all strategies for controlling an outbreak. To detect the high body temperature associated with fevers produced by the coronavirus, screening is done with a device such as a thermometer. Containment is implemented in the early stages of an outbreak to trace and isolate persons who have been infected and implement additional steps to prevent the disease from spreading. When containing the disease is no longer viable, efforts shift to mitigation, which involves taking steps to reduce the disease's spread and mitigate its impact on the healthcare system and society. It is possible to use a combination of containment and mitigation strategies at the same time. Suppression necessitates more drastic measures to stop the pandemic from spreading by lowering the fundamental reproduction number to less than one.
