1. I will choose UDP for video streaming because UDP does not ensure that every packet must reach the host for tramsission to continue. This highly reduces delays in transmission that ensure that each and every dropped packet must be accounted for and retransmistted in a TCP connection.
2. Another reason is that UDP is a connectionless data transmission meaning that a server and a cleint don't need to establish a connection first for data to be transmitted, data is transmitted from the word go unlike in TCP the 2 hosts have to establish a connection through a 3-way handshake for the two to start communicating.
