The FTP connection is a file transfer protocol and is not a secured protocol, whereas TCP can be defined as the transmission control protocol, a standard communication that enables programs and computing nodes to exchange messages over a network. When two computers transfer a video file using the unsecured FTP connection, FTP opens two connections between the two computers, one connection for the commands and replies and the other for the data transfers. The first computer to send the video file commands and the second computer the receiver replies, then the first computer transfers the video file; upload the video file from personal computer to the server and the receiver downloads the video file from the server to the personal computer.
