Explain the difference between a MAC address and an IP address. Answer should be related to the OSI model
The MAC address is the hardware identifier that uniquely identifies the device on the network. It is linked to the MAC sublayer of the data-link layer (Layer 2) of the OSI model. An IP address is assigned by the network administrator and it identifies the connection of that device on the network. IP address operates in the network layer (Layer 3) of the OSI model.
