The difference between the Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI and wi-fi are mentioned below -

Ethernet:

The Ethernet is the most common network technology, which is used in the local area network connection. Here RJ45 connectors are used for the connections to resembles the extra wide jacks. It is usually of blue, red or yellow have maximum range of 300feet. It can carry upto 10MBPS information. Fast Ethernet can carry upto 100 MBPS and gigabit ethernet can carry upto 1000MBPS information in a second.

Token Ring:

It is developed by the IBM, it was popular technology used LAN's connection in the organization but later they switched on Ethernet. With the name, we can understand that the connections were used to arrange in the form of ring in which token used to pass to the other networked device. If computer wants to send the data from one computer to another then they must have to wait for the token and they used to allow to send the information data when they receive the token.

FDDI:

The full name of FDDI is fiber distributed data interface. It is used for transmitting data over the fiber optic cable. It is the backbone of the WAN. It is similar to old fashion token ring connection.

Wi-fi:

It is a wireless connection of computer network in which 802.11 wireless local area network are used. The access of WLAN is controlled by the wireless access point. Which is most commonly known as the router.
