Distinguish between what the impact of decolonisation and Africanisation would be on curriculum development, on the one hand, and curriculum enactment, on the other. Discuss your views in a few paragraphs, by stating at least ten facts.
Africanisation is important for the whole African community. Not only does it give each individual who calls this continent home a sense of belonging, but it also has the potential to unify a very diverse community with diverse cultures and values. We are forced to turn to the past in order to create a unified future. On the other hand, as Europeans moved beyond exploration and into colonization of the Americas, they brought changes to virtually every aspect of the land and its people, from trade and hunting to warfare and personal property. European goods, ideas, and diseases shaped the changing continent. The positive effect is seen in document three called "Colonial Governments and Missionaries.” It shows how the colonial governments introduced improved medical care and better methods of sanitation. There were new crops; tools and farming methods, which helped, increase food production.
Colonization is the control over the resources and adoption of the education system and curriculum from the colonial masters while Africanisation allows the African countries to come up with their own curriculum that fits their economic system.
