Answer to Question #178083 in Physics for Winters

Question #178083

Find the electric field at point P due to charges q1 and q1 shown below.

q1: 40.0 C

q2: -40.0 C

Distance between q1 and q2 is 40.0 cm

Then a line right through the middle of q1 and q2 going up to point P.

That line is 25 cm long and make an angle of 90 degrees.

I would like to add a picture for clarification but there isn't any option to. How may I do it?

"E=k\\frac{q_1}{r^2}-k\\frac{q_1}{r^2}\\\\\nE=9\\cdot10^9\\frac{40-(-40)}{(0.2)^2}=1.8\\cdot10^{13}\\frac{V}{m}"
