In Young's double slit experiment,a light of wavelength Is exposed to the slits which are separated by a distance d then fringe is given

"\\beta=\\frac{D}{d\\lambda}"

This tells all changement.


If one of slit is closed then interference fringes are not formed on the screen but a fringe pattern is observed due to diffraction from slit.
