In Young double slits experiment fringe width is given by

"\\beta=\\frac{D}{d\\lambda}"

Where d is seperation between slits

According above equation if we increase d fringe width decreases and vice versa.

Yes, The fringes are presence or absence of light. In other words, change in intensity and distribution. Not a different color.
