Discuss the relationship between place, concepts and philosophy (of education)
Philosophy of education is a statement or a group of statements that outlines and explains the beliefs, values, and understands of an individual or a group concerning education.
The concept of education is the beliefs about what teachers should present to learners and how knowledge should be relayed to the learners.
Place of education is the ground or institution specially separated for the process of teaching and learning.
A concept that should be taught in an institution should not defy the beliefs of the community where the institution is situated. The concept should not oppose the culture of a people that should receive the knowledge. In a community where the majority are Muslims, the knowledge taught should oppose their belief about feeding on pork. However, the knowledge should be strictly beneficial to learners neither encouraging nor discouraging their culture. The concept should help to solve the problems being faced by the people in society.
