Byer, Vider, and Smith published clinical activism in a community-based article in 2019. It relates to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender affirmative care at the Eromin Centre. The report was directed to the American LGBT and concerned the Eromin Health Care Center that aimed to provide psychotherapy to the above category. The staff employed in the health care movement lacked scientific training but based their service quality on an inherent and personal experience approach. They trended and began service on providing solutions on unrecognized needs of LGBT people without sanction from the ministry nor the government.

The American psychiatrist regarded the LGBT affirmative health care treatment as clinical activism and voted out the union of the psychiatrists six months from the date of its institution. The article summarized the authors' findings from their interview with the Eromin staff and the public and analyzed the corresponding responses obtained about the services of the health services. The results revealed that the union was passionate about offering mental health care to the neglected needs of homosexuals, that is, lesbians, gays, and the bisexual and transsexual by extension. They had noted that this group of sexualities suffered much silently. They could recruit white cisgender, who identified as gay and lesbian to work in their health care centers. Training skills mattered less to them as they based their services on inherent skills and practice experience.

They tried to redress the challenges of their colleagues until the closure of the Health Center in 1984. The attempt of the Eromin’s establishment was largely overshadowed by policy restructuring in mental health care. Its work provides an extensive study of clinical activism of community-based healthcare and affirmative action. The LGBT health care center's attempted establishment pointed out that the group mentioned above of people had their mental needs neglected. The possible reasons attributed to this could have been fear of sharing personal life stories with different sexualities. There could have been guilty of sin if not unethical because it is not the generally accepted sexuality across the world. Hence, Eromin health care could have been of great assistance.
