Answer to Question #131204 in Statistics and Probability for michael Silva

Question #131204
Here is a data set that has a nearly normal distribution.

data data data data
56.51 43.13 38.23 64.1
65.88 51.36 57.11 32.23
52.67 52.85 57.19 50.38
55.69 37.46 48.83 47.7
49.14 48.02 41.81 36.91
54.67 58.35 51.22 64.83
52.9 50.63 43.9 35.97
42.38 58.73 39.12 47.22
50.54 54.38 48.96 60
48.57 46.73 44.24 65

In building a GFDT for this data set, you need to know how many values are in the class from 60 to 65. You decided that each class will include the lower class limit, but not the upper class limit. So, how many values are there in the interval [60,65)?

frequency =

FREQUENCY : Frequency is number of occurrence of specific data. for example 10 student in class receive 60 marks in physics then frequency of 60 is 10.

SOLUTION:

Here given 4 data column and data value in interval [60,65) means that 60 and less than 65 will included included but 65 not included in interval.

so from seeing given data we can say that frequency = 3 because data value (64.1, 60, 64.83) are satisfies given criteria.

ANSWER:

Frequency = 3
