a. P=wh

w- weight dencity of water 62.4 lb/ft2

h-depth 5 ft

P=62.4x5=312 lb/ft2

F=PA

A- area of the surface, 100 ft2

F=312x100=31200 lb

b.P=wh

w- weight dencity of water 9800 N/m3

h-depth 10m

P=9800x10=98000 Pa(N/m2)

F=PA

A- area, 25 m2

F=98000x25=2450000 N
