The standard form of equation of parabola vertex (0,0),(0,0), focus (0,a),(0,-a), directrix line y=ay=a and axis of symmetry x=0x=0 is of the form x2=4ay.x^2=-4ay. In our case, a=1,a=1, and hence the standard form of equation of parabola is x2=4y.x^2=-4y.
