It is not applicable in the current virtual workspace because perception management involves ensuring that the message shared in an organization is well interpreted or understood by the intended audiences based on emotional response and impressions. These require the management and employees and their colleagues to be close to determine the effectiveness of massages shared and create a favorable environment to convey a positive image of the organization. Therefore, it is difficult to apply perception management in a virtual workspace because employees are in different places, facing different challenges, and exposed to many stressors.
