Explain ethics dealing with employers and discuss methods used by salespeople that can be regarded as unethical towards the employer
Ethics dealing with Employers
Workplace ethics might vary within organizations as sets of values. They are crucial for the success of the company and individual career building. It’s the moral responsibility of employers to secure the welfare of their employees. They are obliged to offer them on time and fair pay for work done. Also, they should provide a conducive environment at the workstation. In matters related to layoffs and firing workers, the employees have key responsibility for alerting them in advance to avoid blindsiding at the last minute.
Some salespersons engage in methods and activities that are unethical towards their employers. These practices ruin their relationship hence risking their reputations (Villegas et al., 2019). They include failure to disclose full information on certain commodities or services, misrepresenting their goods and services which is a deceptive measure that can mislead the employer or buyers, and unfulfilled promises which affect businesses and the customers at large. Besides, some engage in illegal activities.
