In your experience what are the barriers which prevent oneself from being an effective communicator? What were the challenges you faced? Suggest some ways to handle such challenges.

Several barriers of communication hinder a communicator from effectively conveying his/her message. Some of the barriers include social distance and physical barriers, disengagement, tedious organizational structure and formalities, mistrust, prejudgments, lack of clarity and consistency, lack of confidence, and poor listening abilities by the audience. The challenges I faced while passing information is prejudgment and lack of confidence, which led to misunderstanding of the audience. These hindrances could be eliminated by intensively rehearsing before actual presentation of the message, be clear and eloquent, and the maintaining the right consistency of points.
