Brady Roberts is a new health insurance professional at Milton Family Practice. When he began his employment, he noticed that the coding manuals were 2 years old. At a staff meeting, when he requested the purchase of current coding manuals, he was informed that there was no money in the budget for these purchases. What, if any, problems might arise out of this situation?

Several problems are associated to having old coding machines without replacing them with new ones.Among them is experiencing downtime system and crashes.With downtime system there is a lot of time lost,trust and revenue.Money is not saved with the countinous use of the old coding systems.Another problem is an increase in costs as a lot of money is needed to maintain the outdated technology, its almost double to fix a system that is four or more years old.

There would be another problem of decreased productivity .The reduction in productivity is due to coding taking linger,consumes more time which would have been spent being valuable. Lastly,there is a fine for failing to transition from unsupported system or softwares .The unapdated equipment also pose danger and rusks to cyber attacks.
