In this activity, you will look at the primary source documents created around the time of the suffrage debate in the U.S. Senate and analyze them for the reasons given by citizens for why they may have been for or against woman suffrage.

After examining all of the documents, choose two against suffrage and two for suffrage that you think made the strongest case or that you could most easily compare/contrast. Write a paper analyzing the documents, noting their arguments for/against suffrage and based on these arguments, which you think was persuasive - why or why not?.
