Between 1850-1940 there was increased worldwide migration. The reasons behind increased global migrations since people moved from different parts of the globe to seek higher quality education especially in developed countries like the USA, European countries, etc. Secondly, migration was brought about by the process of escaping hardship, conflict, etc especially from the regions where there was no peace. Employment is another reason behind the increased migration since people moved across the globe to seek employment opportunities.Cheap farmland available in U.S attracted immigrants.

First stage industrialization attracted the skilled personnel making them to migrate.

People migrated to places they viewed having economic opportunities thus making the immagrant number to increase.
